Drivetrain
I've decided to ditch the factory differential and go for a
Nine Inch from Difftechnics. It will include 31spline Mark
Williams Billet axles, 4.11 True Track clutchless centre,
Commodore brakes and a Mark WIlliams nodular case.
Thats about as tough as they get!


Suspension
Pedders shocks and springs will be used front and rear to help the car off the lights, and keep it straight down the track.

Bushes will be replaced by Nolathane items to improve steering and handling performance.
Re-wire
The cars electrical system will get a thorough going over by Simon at Zap Bits. All the old stuff will all be removed and replaced by an Aussie Auto Looms system and the battery will be relocated to the boot and the microtech re-installed.
Wheels and Tyres
A set of Weld Star Pro wheels measuring 15x5 at the front and 15x8 in the rear will replace the 17inch wheels for drag racing. The rear wheels will be covered by slicks measuring 26x8.5x15.
New Motor and Gearbox
The 13B turbo will be rebuilt by Dave at Rotamotive, with 2mm seals, mild porting, a rotamotive stud kit and other bits and pieces. Should produce around 500Hp at the wheels, thats about 380RWKW!!

Gearbox will remain manual for now, but will be changed to a 3spd Jatco automaic when it hits the drag strip. Fully rebuilt with a transbrake and 5000RPM stall convertor, it should be interesting off the lights!


Engine Management
The old MTX8 simply wont cut it at this level of performance. I will be looking to upgrade the computer
to either:

*Microtech LT8S with an upgraded MAP sensor (40PSI unit and Microtech DASH

*Wolf 3D V4 plus, which has a handset and 30PSI map sensor as standard. This computer also offers load point adjustment at ever 125RPM, rather than Microtech's 500RPM
Fuel System
The VL turbo fuel pump wil be replaced by a large Bosch pump, with the standard pump still functioning as a lift pump.

Injectors will be upgraded to 1000CC Rochester's for primaries and 1700CC Indy Blue's for secondaries. Thats ALOT of fuel!

Fuel lines will also be upgraded to larger diamater line.

A fuel cell may also be added once the car starts to see the drag strip.

When Things Get Serious!!
Once the car starts to race on a more serious level, the folowwing parts will be needed :

* Wheelie bars
* Nitrous System
* Ignition Amplifier
* lexan Windows

And the list goes on and on...
Turbo and Accessories
This is where it starts to get fun!

The hi-flowed S4 turbo will make way for a T04E, featuring a 1.15 rear housing, 7.0 front cover and a 66mm compressor wheel. I will be pushing about 25PSI through it.

A PSR 45MM wastegate will be added to a steampipe manifold built by Rotamotive.

A 3inch straight through exhaust and dump pipe will be made to suit the new turbo system.


Roll Cage and Front Brake Upgrade
Oz Brake and Chasis will build and fit a full ANDRA approved roll cage.

The front brakes will also be upgraded to Commodore discs to suit the rears.
